Don't have a Vision statement - HAVE VISION - For Christ's Sake

WHO ARE YOU?
What you see is who you are!!!

Vision is more than a statement.
Statements only make statements;
they do not
conjure images,
or stir faith in people
or give a
sense of preferred future.
A vision is nothing
less than a vision;
it is
something you can see,
something that is better
than what exists,
and is the meaning
behind your relentless action.

IMAGE IS EVERYTHING!!!

Values

a value system is essential to being human.

W H Y ?

if you have not
already thoughtfuly articulated one,
then you are using the default one that your brain
has gathered from experience and passed down by family.

living with your default value system
means that you are always reacting to life
in a way that you can't control.
you do things
that you don't understand.
your thoughts
are confusing to you.
your choices
are inconsistent.
your friends
could be harmful.

your brain
HAS a value system...
but you just don't know what it is.
it's been placed there

subliminally

and does not
necessarily have any rhyme or reason.
the brain automatically
files experiences
and does not determine the true value of long-term gain.

Think about your Vision and Values...

Might help you
Remember

Who you are?

great post
i don't know about everyone else, but i can struggle with how my values are determined. i wonder why i value one thing over another when it makes no sense at all... for instance, sitting behind a desk doing nothing can be called work and is "important" or spending time with my son making sure he becomes a good man one day. why we value one thing over the other boggles my mind, i think we all need to be able to state our values with some articulate thought behind them

Mark - I'm selling what you're smoking.

I'll admit that over this last year I have become a bit of a vision skeptic. I'm not sure that vision is a prefered picture of the future so much as it is an acurate and inspiring interpretation of the past.

btw - I thought 'thirst was everything'

E.D - I'm buying what your selling and Jeffro os smoking what I am rolling. Our traditional mainstream Vision concept is very ... ugly. However I would suggest that the past can only help us define what is or what is not... An accurate and inspiring picture of NOW! is true vision... the future is based on what is now!
I personally think that vision is highly overated and misunderstood in a corporate setting but cannot be overlooked personally.
